SIKA SATE Insulation System

Last 20th November we celebrated at Nutersa's facilities our own Blue Friday. Blue Fridaya meeting between colleagues in the profession dedicated to strengthening ties and letting new proposals and collaborations flow. In this case, it was a different, fun and productive day. Among friends, we had the opportunity to combine fun and prescription.

On this occasion we were accompanied by Neus Lacomba and Víctor Setoain of the Lacomba Setoain Arquitectos Asociados Architecture Studio. These prestigious architects are characterised by their up-to-date architecture, in terms of organisation and production. Committed to nature and concerned about the environmental impact of their creations, they gave us the opportunity to present the Exterior Thermal Insulation Systems (SATE) of our represented SIKA.

SIKA's added value

For the occasion we had the technical support of David Ait, sales representative of Sika's Building Envelope division. Specialist in façade and roofing. David Ait tells us: "SIKA's prescription programmes focus on the presentation of the different solutions, according to the needs of each project, bringing added value to the brand".

In this case we focus on the SATE Systems of the multinational, structuring the presentation in 4 basic pillars:

  • The insulating panels in their variants approved by ETE, these being EPS in white or with graphite particles (EPS-G), the XPS panel or rock wool. And ecological cork or wood chip panels.
  • The hardening mortars used as adhesive, in their variants Coteterm M, Coteterm M-Flex and Coteterm LG.
  • A wide range of complements such as reinforcement meshes, edges and profiles and all types of anchors for the different supports.
  • And finally, the catalogue of decorative finishes presents an extensive range of colours. Acrylic and mineral mortars stand out. And above all of them, the latest generation Coteterm Aquasol technology.

The advantages of the SATE system

Architect Neus Lacomba tells us that "despite being familiar with the SATE system, the day served to discover the range of possibilities that SIKA offers with its products. Equally important was the technical support provided by David Ait, which allowed us to learn about the different construction solutions on offer".

In turn, Víctor Setoain adds that "in our projects we take care of the environmental impact, in order to achieve buildings with low or zero energy consumption. The SATE system allows us to reduce energy losses, especially in refurbishment projects".
